RAPID CITY, S.D. - A motorcyclist is hospitalized Sunday after a vehicle-motorcycle accident northwest of Rapid City. The accident, reported at about 1:00 Sunday afternoon, happened on Nemo Road, about two miles north of the Doty Fire Station. A Dodge Caravan, followed by a motorcycle, were both headed northbound on the two-lane road. The driver of the Caravan prepared to turn left onto Miller Road and as he made the turn was struck by the motorcycle as it attempted to pass the van. The female passenger was thrown from the motorcycle and the driver of the van suffered leg and head injuries. The biker was charged with improper passing.
