RAPID CITY, S.D. - Investigators are using partial fingerprints taken from a decomposing body found in the Black Hills over the weekend to try to figure out her identity.

Someone taking photos Saturday near Iron Mountain Road discovered the female body without any identifying information. An autopsy also will be done to try to determine a cause of death.

Pennington County Sheriff's Capt. Corey Brubakken says investigators are reviewing missing persons cases, but the first priority is to identify the person. He says then they can determine how she ended up where she did.

Iron Mountain Road is known for its wooden "pigtail" bridges and one-lane tunnels that frame Mount Rushmore.
