Country Road fire displaces family of nine

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City area fire crews responded to a structure fire early Thursday afternoon just north of Rapid City.

The fire heavily damaged a single-family dwelling on the 1900 Block of Country Road.

Officials say nine people were living in the home, and they are now displaced.

The Black Hills Chapter of the American Red Cross is assisting the family.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
