Girls’ Softball SoDak 16 – Scoopers fall to Brookings

UNDATED – The Sturgis Scoopers wrapped up their inaugural SDHSAA sanctioned girls’ softball season Tuesday with a loss to Brookings in the SoDak 16.

The Bobcats denied the Scoopers a hit and rolled to a 11-0 win in four innings.

Brooke Wolf gave up nine earned runs in three innings for the Scoopers, striking out three and walking four batters. Bella Cramer picthed one scoreless inning in relief.

The Scoopers finish the season 1-15.

In other SoDak 16 action, Rapid City Stevens dropped a 13-4 game to Yankton.

Tia Gease homered and scored two runs to help lead RC Stevens.

Rapid City Central also dropped their SoDak 16 matchup to Sioux Falls Jefferson as the Cavaliers rolled to a 13-3 win.

Keera Taylor had one of six hits for Central and scored a run and an R.B.I.
