Health Department reports seven new COVID-19 related deaths; 3 in Pennington County

PIERRE, S.D. – Health officials reported 187 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday, of which, 47 were listed as probable cases.

Active cases decreased by 34 Saturday to 1,910 and the number of people hospitalized dropped by 5 to 91.

There were seven new deaths reported today, with 3 of them out of Pennington  County, where the death toll is now 188. Statewide, the death toll rises to 1,886.

Pennington County reported 19 new cases Saturday with three of them probable.

Lawrence County had 2 new cases Saturday and Meade County added 5 new cases.

Butte County added 2 and Fall River County added one new case.
