South Dakota Mines wraps up regular season with UCCS

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The South Dakota Mines men’s basketball team earned a win over UCCS Friday night during the Hardrockers’ fnal game of the regular season defeateing the Mountain Lions, 84-71, at the King Center in Rapid City, South Dakota.

It was a total team effort for the offense as Walter scored 21, while Rama added 18 points. Kolten Mortensen contributed with 12 points and nine rebounds. Overall the Hardrockers shot 62.7% from the floor and 50% from behind the arc.

With the win the ‘Rockers are now 9-9 overall and in the RMAC.

Meanwhile, in the women’s game,

RAPID CITY, S.D. — In their final regular season game the South Dakota Mines Hardrockers fell to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Mountain Lions, 57-50, at Goodell Gymnasium on Friday night.

Bailey Johnson paced the Hardrockers with 10 points. Combalia and Juneau Jones finished with nine each. Jones also led the team in rebounds with 11.

The ‘Rockers record drops to 11-8 overall and 11-7 in RMAC play.
