MONA, UT – Utah deputies have arrested two South Dakota men, one from Rapid City, in connection with a fatal shooting.
According to a press release, Juab County Sheriff’s Office officials booked the two men into jail after a deceased female was found inside a vehicle at a Mona, Utah gas station.
Authorities say the woman was found with a gunshot wound.
David Manuel Mestas of Sioux Falls and Richard Anthony Sanchez of Rapid City, both 26, were later booked into Juab County Jail on charges related to the death of the victim.
The identity of the victim and the official cause of death is being determined by the Utah State Medical Examiners Office.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
