RAPID CITY, S.D. – The woman accused of manslaughter and aggravated assault in connection with a fatal shooting made her initial court appearance in Pennington County Court Thursday.
Jesse Schmockel, 22, of Kyle, has been charged in connection with an early Monday shooting that killed one and injured two others.
Police allege Schmockel shot and killed 20-year-old Nova Alexander of Rapid City.
No motive has been given, but police say drugs and drug items were found at the scene.
Schmockel’s bond has been set at $500,000 cash only.
She makes her next court appearance on December 17th.
